Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Lucido collects, uses and protects the personal information you provide when using our website. By using the site you consent to the data practices described herein.

Information We Collect

We may collect personal details such as your name, email address and IP address when you contact us or subscribe to updates. We also collect privacy-conscious website analytics such as page paths, referring domains, campaign tags, browser and device category, approximate engaged time, scroll depth, performance measurements and interactions with important links or forms. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the analytics database. Instead, the server creates a pseudonymous identifier so visits and sessions can be counted.

Website Analytics

Lucido hosts its analytics on the same Hetzner server as this website. Analytics data is used to understand which pages are useful, improve navigation and measure engagement. The analytics system does not use advertising cookies, sell data or share analytics profiles with third parties. A temporary browser session identifier helps group page views during a visit and is removed when the browser session ends.

How We Use Information

Your information helps us operate and improve the website, respond to enquiries, send occasional updates and ensure the security of our services. We will not use your data for purposes beyond those stated without your consent.

Dram Whisky Recommender

When you use Dram, your messages and generated recommendations are stored on our server so you can reopen the conversation in the same browser. A random, secure session cookie keeps that history separate from other visitors. Dram does not require an account, and conversation records are automatically deleted after 90 days. You can also delete a conversation directly from the application.

Conversation text is sent to Groq to generate recommendations. If you select the JEV engine, the relevant conversation context is also sent to TypeSafe for structured taste analysis. Lucido’s provider API keys remain on the server and are never shared with your browser.

Sharing Your Information

We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our website, provided they agree to keep it confidential. We may also disclose information if required by law. In the event of a business transfer, user information may be part of the transferred assets.

Data Security

We implement appropriate measures to protect your personal data but cannot guarantee absolute security. By using the website you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Your Rights

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections or deletion and opt out of communications at any time.

Third‑Party Links

Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection we will delete the information immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new policy on this page. The effective date will be updated accordingly.
